Frequently asked questions.

What types of therapy do you offer?

I offer individual therapy for adults and adolescents, as well as couples therapy. My approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and psychodynamic principles, depending on your specific needs and goals.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be helpful for anyone who is looking to better understand themselves, improve relationships, manage stress or anxiety, navigate life transitions, or heal from past experiences. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just need a safe space to talk, therapy could be a great place to start.

What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. In this session we will go over the intake paperwork, address about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any questions you have. We'll also discuss logistics like scheduling, confidentiality, and how we might work together.

How long is each session?

Sessions typically last 50 minutes. Longer sessions for couples or more intensive work can be arranged in advance if needed.

How often will we meet?

Most clients start with weekly sessions, which provide consistency and momentum. We can adjust the frequency over time based on your needs and progress.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes, I offer both in-person and secure teletherapy sessions to accommodate different needs and preferences.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a core part of the therapeutic relationship. What you share in therapy stays between us, with a few legal exceptions (e.g., if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of abuse).

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to the full session fee.

How do I get started?

You can contact me via contact form to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to talk briefly, answer any questions you may have, and see if we’re a good fit to work together.
